ABOUT US
THE BUSINESS
State 28 Armory was established in 2017 by Instructor Damien Trent to pour back into the community the importance of personal safety and security. Since then, he has assisted thousands in obtaining the firearms needed to protect themselves and their families. However, he knew that there was a far greater responsibility that came with ownership; knowing the fundamentals to execute proper and responsible storage and usage of any firearm. This is when he answered the call to include the education and tools necessary to become licensed to carry through his comprehensive training programs.
In recent years, State 28 Armory has expanded their services to include Armed Security Services for Private Events, Birthdays, Conferences, and more. In line with these services Personal Bodyguard services are available as well.
THE INSTRUCTOR
Damien Trent is a native-born Texan and proud Houstonian. He is a graduate of the local Fort Bend ISD. Damien is passionate about finding new ways to give back and serve not only his local community but the global community at large. In line with this, he serves as a 33° Grand Master of the Masonic Fraternity of Brotherhood which bares the torch of fostering personal growth, moral development, and social responsibility through their many philanthropic efforts. He immensely enjoys fatherhood and family time, traveling, being a Kitchen & Pit Master with his own seasoning line "The Creole Texan Blends", podcasting "The Man Behind The Mic", and more.
CUSTOMER REVIEWS
I've never experienced training like this before and I can't wait to do it again. The instructor is the best I have ever trained with in all of my years, including those of my military service.

After training with Instructor Trent several times, I greatly appreciate that no two classes are the same. Each subsequent class has built greatly on the previous while elevating both my knowledge and skills.

I was reluctant about firearms and everything related to them. The instructor was very calming, easing my apprehension, and was extremely patient with me.
